Evidence Passports: attach the assumptions to the result

The idea in plain English

The SuperQuant public page describes Evidence Passports as a way to retain inputs, coverage, assumptions, trade details and next questions. The valuable idea is traceability: a result is easier to challenge when the evidence and method travel with it. The label does not itself certify that the conclusion is true.

The distinction that matters

Create a record that identifies data source, time window, rule version, execution timing, costs and known limitations. Keep synthetic examples clearly marked. This article explains the public concept and a general worksheet; it does not assert an exact export format or tested button sequence inside the authenticated app.

A practical example

A fictional backtest looks favorable until a reviewer notices that transaction costs were omitted. Because the assumptions are attached, the reviewer can identify the issue and request a revised run. Without that record, the chart’s polished presentation could conceal the missing cost model.

Try this without moving money

• Write the question and rule version next to the result.
• Attach data coverage, costs and execution assumptions.
• End with unresolved questions and the next test needed to challenge the conclusion.

A mistake to avoid

Do not present an Evidence Passport as a regulated certificate, audited return or transferable credential unless a separate verified process actually establishes those properties.
